Access Statement for The Broadway Hotel

Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of our entire guests in our family owned, 26 en suite bedroom hotel with a restaurant and
bar.

Pre-Arrival

• The Llandudno train station is 5 minutes by foot
• There are many local taxi firms which we will book on your behalf
• Our website has a where to find us map
• Menus can be provided in large print

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• There are is small car park to the rear of the hotel.
• We offer assistance with luggage
• The car park surface is tarmac, not level and partially lit at night
• The entrance door is approached via 6 wide steps with a hand rail on either side. The main door to the hotel is via
an enclosed porch way with a further step. The main door is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair

Main Entrance & Reception
• The front doors leads straight into the reception desk
• Low-level table is available for check-in.
• Flooring is carpeted
• Reception is all on one level.

Public Areas - General (Internal)
• Our corridors are well lit and carpeted
• The restaurant is accessible on the ground floor level
• The restaurant is carpeted
• The Bar is accessed through the restaurant via 12 steps
• The Bar is carpeted with a wooden dancefloor
• There are doors from reception to the restaurant and bar
• We have a lift which serves the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.

Public Areas - WC
• The Ladies Public Toilets are accessed via the conference room on the ground floor
• The Gents Public Toilets are accessed via 12 steps
• The fire alarm system is bells/sirens and does not have flashing lights. Assistance is given if evacuation is
necessary

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar
• Restaurant tables are laid with white table linen
• Menus are provided in large print on request
• Full waiter service in the restaurant.
• Movable seating throughout. All chairs are without arms
• Background music is played in the restaurant.
• Well lit and airy restaurant and bar
• Live Entertainment is provided in the bar.
Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment
• Conference room is on the ground level and carpeted throughout
• Accessible WC
• Movable seating and tables
• We do not have a loop system

Bedrooms
•The hotel is on five levels, lower ground, ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor,
•The first, second and third floors are accessible via a lift.
•The hotel also has two mezzanine floors, the 1st mezzanine is accessed by 19 steps, the second floor mezzanine is
accessed by either 37 steps, or 16 steps when using the lift to the 3rd floor.
•All rooms are equipped with Baths, toilets and wash basins.
•There are showers available on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor.
•We can provide a grab rail
•We can provide a hand held shower attachment for the bath.
Patio Area at Front of Hotel.
• We have a patio at the front of the hotel accessible via 3 steps with movable chairs and tables

Additional Information
• Assistance dogs are welcome
• Medication can be stored by request.
• We are unable to use the lift in the event of evacuation. The bells/sirens will ring continuously if evacuation is needed. If
you require assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival
• Wheelchairs are available to hire at a charge of £5.00 per day.~
• Walking aids are available to hire at a charge of £2.50 per day.
